PEP Health Releases 2026 US Hospital Rankings for Patient Experience

Offering an alternative to survey-heavy experience data, PEP Health identified this year's top-performing hospitals using more timely, unsolicited patient feedback

Based on tens of millions of real-world patient comments, the rankings provide a transparent and timely view of which hospitals patients and families rate most highly — and why.

Unlike traditional experience rankings, our list is not based on internal metrics or expert opinion, and it doesn't rely on a one-off survey or a single review cycle. Instead, it reflects how patients and families felt across 365 days of lived experience, based on the stories they are already sharing every day online, across public review sites, forums, and social media.

PEP Health's AI platform structures and analyzes this data to deliver validated, real-time, and unbiased insights into how patients experience care at every hospital across the country.

Each hospital's score isn't a snapshot. It's an average drawn from thousands of real, everyday encounters — the sum of how people consistently experienced their care. They tell a deeper truth: not who performed well once, but who performs well always in the eyes of the people they serve.

To be eligible, hospitals needed:

• A minimum of 365 unsolicited comments between September 01, 2024, and August 31, 2025 (averaging one per day)
• Consistently high scores across seven experience domains, from Fast Access to Emotional Support
